Welcome to my Fitness Blog
Hi there, my name is Alex. I meant to start this blog already a couple of weeks or even months ago, but simply didn’t know what to write about myself. Now instead of writing an essay about my person, I’ll stick to the most important facts (= fitness only).
I am 33 years of age and my current weight is about 145 lbs (66 kg). It wasn’t always like this, I started off last year with 25% body fat and have now been measured at 9% body fat just about two months ago (in the meantime I traveled for a month, so I guess I am closer to 10% now).
Why would a person with almost 9% body fat need a physique transformation you ask? Well, this is not my first physique transformation.
Mission #1: Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle
Around October 2007 I started off with 25% body fat and have since discovered a complete new lifestyle. After looking for the easy fix or magic pill for a long time, Tom Venuto’s ebook Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle (BFFM) has literally helped me to turn my life around. There is so much I could say about him, but it’s probably enough if I tell you that he is one of the good guys in the health industry. If you want to know more about him and his book, check out his web site. According to clickbank.com it’s the number 1 best selling health and fitness related ebook and it has been around for a very long time.

Adam Waters – The Man
At about the same time that I discovered Tom Venuto and BFFM, I also found Adam Waters Real Time Physique Transformation blog. I did a search on youtube for “Tom Venuto” and I ended up on Adam’s now famous 84 Days in 48 Seconds video. Adam has been one of THE motivating factors during my “new life”, I’ve been showing around his video to many people. I also had the chance to meet Adam in Florida last February, when he won an online video competition with one of his timelapse videos. The rest is history – I hope to be part of his Shredder Sphere soon.
Actually there would be so much more to write about Mission 1, but this blog is not about the past it is about the future. Let’s just say I learned a big deal of new stuff during the past year and I am now looking forward to a great, healthy and long life. As a nice side effect, I may have increased my own and my lovely wife’s lifespan by a couple of years, which is not too shabby for an unintended side effect.
My Embarrassing Past Revealed
Here is a picture I posted in the Burn the Fat Inner Circle a few weeks ago. It shows the progress I made with BFFM. The before-shot shows me with 25% body fat and as you can see I was not particularly amazed by what I saw in the mirror. The after shot was by end of May 2008, when I was measured at 9% body fat, which came as a “surprise” even to myself (I actually just wanted to get ready to break the magic 10% BF mark).

From 25% to 9% Body Fat with Tom Venuto
Tomorrow I will be writing about my ongoing preparation for Mission 2. Stay tuned.
PS: Today I’ve been at my local gym doing Day One: Chest, Shoulder, Triceps and Abs of my two day split routine that I’ve created using Chapter 17 of BFFM. After that I hit the treadmill with a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) session consisting of only 2 rounds starting at 11 km/h all the way up to 16 km/h with one minute increments. Since I just increased my max speed from 15 km/h to 16 km/h I decided it was enough after only two rounds. Next time I’ll do one more round until I reach my target of total 25 minutes HIIT + 5 minutes cool down again in the next couple of days (total 30 mins of sweating).
